AreyArtistry Studio specializes in fused glass pieces. Each piece is handmade with care, blending glass and creativity into functional art. The studio emphasizes a handmade process where every piece is carefully fused and shaped by hand, creating vibrant colors and textures in glassware pieces designed to function as art in your home.
The Fused Glass Process
Fused glass is created by layering sheets and pieces of glass, then firing them in a kiln at temperatures up to 1,500°F. The glass melts and fuses together, creating unique patterns and textures. After cooling, pieces are shaped, slumped into molds, and fired again to achieve their final form. Every piece is one of a kind.
Design
Each piece begins with a vision — selecting colors, patterns, and shapes that will complement the final form.
Cut & Layer
Glass sheets are carefully scored, cut, and layered to create depth and visual interest in the finished piece.
Kiln Firing
The layered glass is placed in a kiln and fired at temperatures up to 1500°F, fusing the layers into one solid piece.
Shaping & Finishing
After cooling, the fused piece may be slumped over a mold to create functional shapes like bowls and trays.
